A vox pop project · Ogbomoso, Nigeria
Stories of Ogbomoso is a vox pop project that humanises the city through the voices of the people who make it run. The mechanic, the bike rider, the teacher, the barber, the meat seller, the elder. Short films. Honest portraits. No interviewer in the frame.
What this is.
Ogbomoso is a city in Oyo State, southwestern Nigeria. It has a teaching hospital scanning patients from four states. A meat seller who has been reading the city's economy from a single market stall for twenty-two years. A bike rider who has memorised every road, every shortcut, every flooding junction. None of them have ever been interviewed. All of them have been here, doing essential, irreplaceable work, in plain sight and invisible.
Stories of Ogbomoso is here to change that. One voice at a time. Every week. Without rushing. Without stopping.
"I had a dream. I was told, come to Ogbomoso, you will find light, you will find all that you need. The first time I set foot in this town, one word landed on my heart. Potential. There is so much potential."

Combined for atmosphere
Short films layered with text, music, and ambient sound. Storytelling that carries the feel of a street, not just the facts of it.
Storytelling angles.
We are not chasing the obvious. We are listening for the moments of humour, pride, and quiet resilience that the city already carries, and asking the questions no one has thought to ask.

"What do you love most about your street?"
02 / Ask
"What is something outsiders would never guess about this place?"
03 / Ask
"What small thing makes your day better here?"
The archive.
A growing collection of short films, published every week. Each one is 30 to 90 seconds. No interviewer. No script. Just the person, the place, and the moment.
